The Infinite Perspective

Riddled with rage and reeling over how to move forward after the election, I reminded myself of my true beliefs. I have my conscious beliefs and my subconscious beliefs. So that’s what I’m going to talk about today. For those here who just wanted to tune into my political outrage posts, please stay tuned because I’m sure there will be plenty of that too. Because I’m human, with a finite perspective, and as much as I would love to always walk in the spirit of my beliefs it doesn’t always work out that way.

Consciously, when I am fully present, I believe that from the infinite perspective, or God’s perspective, if you will, we are ALL. After all, is that not the very definition of infinite? The Oxford Dictionary defines infinite as limitless or endless in space, impossible to measure or calculate. Therefore, there is No-thing that is separate from God. For No-thing is at the center of the universe. God is everything and no-thing. If you think that is trippy, I implore you to look at every religious text, including the Bible, and you will find verses that mention this specifically.

If we are not separate from God, then we are not separate from each other because, once again, God is everything. Logically, if God is everything, then the concept of “Good and Evil” would have to mean that God is both good and evil, or from my finite opinion, the idea is merely an illusion. Veiled by the blanket of ego and religious subconscious programming, which I often fall back into, we are led to believe that God is a Man sitting on a cloud in the sky passing judgment on sinners. The very notion conflicts with both God’s infinity and omnipresence. It would have to mean that an Other exists outside of God, which immediately diminishes God’s power. God can’t be contained or boxed into one religion.

Religions are but half-truths, for the ego cannot fathom nor can human language describe the mystery of ALL that is. Any religion or ideology that claims to be the only way attempts to box the infinite. Religions that preach hate are threatened by love. The LGBTQ+ community is teaching people that you can love ALL. Religions that preach hate don’t want to be conquered by love. They use fear and hate to control. They control what you think. They control what you do. And the people pulling strings at the top are benefitting from it. If they convince you to fear or hate others, they can perpetuate their cycle of greed and power. I’m not here to push my beliefs on anyone, but from the perspective that God is infinite and everything, inflicting pain on each other is only hurting God and, ultimately, ourselves.
